Welcoming Luis Freixas — growing our team in Spain

We're delighted to announce that Luis Freixas has joined Netsuisse as our new Senior Infrastructure & Business Solutions Engineer, strengthening our growing team in Spain.

Luis brings more than 20 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with deep expertise in virtualization, IT operations and data protection. Beyond his technical depth, he's a genuinely engaged member of the IT community — a VMUG Leader, VUG Leader, vExpert, Veeam Legend and Object First Ace — someone who is always learning, testing new technologies, and sharing his knowledge with others. That combination of hands-on mastery and a genuine willingness to help is exactly the spirit we want as we grow in Spain.

While our software engineering already drives the platform side of workforceOS, Luis complements the team on the infrastructure and solutions side. He'll help build and run the backbone behind workforceOS — but the real leverage is what gets built on top of it: customer and partner projects across our three fields (MOVE, CONNECT and WORK), solution architecture, and business analysis. In effect, he'll be as much an infrastructure business analyst as an engineer.

One area where Luis's background is a particularly strong fit is edge computing — bringing resilient storage, compute and AI closer to where data is generated. It's a direction already built into workforceOS, and one we see growing in importance for our customers and partners. Luis's deep infrastructure and virtualization experience makes him ideally placed to help us develop it further.

Just as importantly, Luis will play a central part in building up the Spanish market for Netsuisse — a market where we see real potential. Spain is our engineering and operational hub for the wider EU, and Luis will be on the ground helping to develop our partner network, shape customer projects, and grow the business here. And because Spain sits at the centre of our EU footprint, his work won't stop at the border: Luis will also be well placed to support projects for our other country organisations as the group grows.
